Hey emotionally-overcaffeinated space gremlin,
This weekâs healing adventure? Childhood trauma. Buckle up.
Iâve been digging into the younger years for my bookâand letâs just say, my inner child popped out like, âHey! Remember when the adults were weird, church was judgy, and we were out here playing tag in traffic like emotionally neglected squirrels?â
Yeah. That chapter.
Some of the memories are funny. Some are feral. Most come with a side of âno wonder I flinch when someone says âfamily gathering.ââ But the wild thing? Iâm still here. Still healing. Still writing this newsletter instead of burning sage and ghosting everyone.
So thatâs growth. Right?
đŚ Recent Progress in the Land of Healing and Sass:
Unearthed a childhood memory, gave it a sarcastic nickname, and moved on
Didnât spiral after seeing a picture of my old church (just blinked aggressively)
Told my inner child she deserves better snacksâand boundaries
đ§ Healing Truth of the Week:
"You werenât too emotional. You were surrounded by people emotionally constipated since 1973."
đ Emotional Support Joke:
"If trauma were a sport, my inner child wouldâve medaled and still not gotten picked up from the event."
No sneak peeks this weekâjust vibes, validation, and a reminder that healing doesnât mean rewriting your story. It means reclaiming it. Loudly. With glitter. Possibly while crying in a grocery store aisle.
